OFFICIAL RULES
NUGGET MARKETS BEEF POETRY CONTEST
- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: You need not transact any business with the Sponsor (Nugget Market, Inc.) nor pay any fee or other consideration to enter the Contest.
- Eligibility: The Contest is open only to legal residents of the State of California who are at least 18 years of age. By participating, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Official Rules and all decisions of Sponsor with respect to the Contest.
- How to Enter: Visit www.nuggetbeef.com and complete the on-line registration form. Only on-line entries will be accepted. Entries will be accepted from October 6, 2007 until midnight on December 21, 2007. Each entrant may submit a maximum of five entries over the duration of the Contest.
- Qualifying Entries: The entry must be the wholly original creative work product of the one person who is identified as the entrant. Each entry may not exceed 16 lines, with up to 75 characters per line. Entries must reference at least two of the following four attributes of Harris Ranch Premium Natural Angus Beef: All Natural Premium Beef; No Added Hormones; No Antibiotics; and 100% USDA Choice Beef.
- Judging: Sponsor will evaluate the entries, determine which are qualifying, and select the winners. Sponsor will have complete and absolute discretion in judging the entries and Sponsor’s decisions will be final. Sponsor will select up to twenty-five (25) winning entries. Sponsor will begin selecting and announcing winners, from available entries, before the December 21, 2007 entry deadline.
- Prizes: Each winner will receive a certificate for $100 worth of Harris Ranch beef. The winner, in person, must select the beef at any Nugget Market from the beef then available for sale. The certificate is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash value, and not redeemable for any product other than Harris Ranch beef. The certificate must be used on a single occasion, no later than December 31, 2008, and no change will be given. The certificate will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
- Notification of and Required Action by Potential Winners: Sponsor will notify potential winning entrants via e-mail. To become a winner, each notified entrant must complete, execute and deliver to Sponsor, within five days of the transmittal of the e-mail notification, the following forms to be supplied by Sponsor: (a) a declaration of eligibility, (b) a liability/publicity release, and (c) a document that conveys to Sponsor, under copyright and any other applicable law, a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, publish, reproduce and display the entered poem. Entrants who do not return the completed forms in a timely manner will not become winners and will not receive a prize.
- Publication of Winning Entries and Identification of Winners: Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may use, publish and display any winning entry. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may publicly identify and display the name, in whole or in part, of each winning entrant. Winners will not receive any prize or compensation beyond the $100 certificate described above.
- General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, suspend, modify and/or cancel the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds to have tampered with the entry process or to have acted in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Sponsor Released from Liability: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and its owners, directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors; (c) printing or typographical errors; (d) errors in the administration of the Contest; and (e) late, lost or undeliverable mail.
- Disputes: Entrants agree that any dispute arising out of the Contest shall be resolved by the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the County of Yolo. The laws of the State of California, without regard to any conflict of law rules, shall apply.
- Contest void where and to the extent prohibited by law.
